About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Architect with integration capabilities.
In this role you will be responsible for the System Architecture and the Design for Manufacturing of the complete UAV including strong engagement in the development of the system design and transferring the existing prototype into high volume production. You will drive specifications, build of materials and CAD layouts as well as supporting project management and the design, application and validation engineers in a cross functional system approach.

Key Responsibilities:
Analysis of Product Requirement Documents in sync with Market Requirements.
Prepare and maintain Technical Specifications at Product and Systems level.
Provide Technology Readiness Level (TRL), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) creations etc. Collaborate with product design and development teams to define and design UAV/drone systems. Identify production hardware components, Electronic components, and software solutions. Integrate hardware, electronics and software components ensuring compatibility and reliability. Guide testing and debugging to resolve issues.
Configure flight control systems, autopilot software and onboard computers for seamless operation
Develop and implement quality and reliability control processes starting with Concept Design, Development, Testing Validations, Industrializations and Series Productions, to verify the functionality and safety of the integrated systems.
Maintain detailed documentation of System Integration processes, configurations, Design and System Engineering Reviews, Validation plan vs actual and test results

Specific Knowledge and Skills:
Proficiency in PLM/PDM integrations with 3D CAD, 3D Model sanctity and Integration checks Expertise in CAD Tree/Layout preparations, BOM Configurations and Management Understanding of GDT, Tolerance Stack up Analysis, DFMEA etc.
Skilled at planning of Validations e.g, Numerical Validations, Laboratory Testing, Flight Testing, Certifications etc.
Good knowledge of Manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product management,
Product marketing, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality management, software engineers,
Electronics Engineers, Hardware engineers, and Project managers, to achieve project
goals and deadlines.

Preferred Skills:
Exposure to Fundamental Aerodynamics, Materials and Process Engineering

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in system design, preferably in aerospace or related

    technology.

  • Be able to demonstrate strong proficiency in CAD Tree/Layout preparations and BOM

    Configurations and Management tools

  • Established proven background in PLM/PDM concepts.

  • Work experience in GDT, Tolerance Stack up Analysis and DFMEA.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
