About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in airframe design. In this role, you will design and develop advanced airframes using CAD software, integrate electronics and wiring within the airframe, and collaborate with CFD engineers for aerodynamic optimization.
Utilizing standard engineering practices to ensure the mechanical quality of the design.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop airframes, ensuring structural integrity and functionality.
Perform FEA stress calculations and modal analyses.
Integrate electronics and wiring systems within the airframes.
Provide technical leadership in mechanical design and airframe development.

Specific Knowledge and Skills:

Proficiency in SolidWorks products including 3D CAD modeling, PDM, and FlowSimulation.
Experience in FEA for stress calculation and modal analysis.
Ability to collaborate effectively with CFD engineers, familiar with simulation software like Ansys.
Knowledge of integrating electronic components and wiring within mechanical systems.
Understanding of material selection for airframes, considering weight, strength, and environmental factors.
Utilize PDM tools for product data management and flow simulations for basic CFD calculations.

Preferred Skills:

Prior experience in the design and development of UAVs or similar aerospace systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertaining to airframe technology.
